Important Videos – “How To Get Diabetes In Six Hours” and “24 Hours In the Life of a Young Boy With Diabetes”
Perhaps this video best shows how diet may influence the onset of diabetes.
In this first video, you will see Dr. Delgado start from a non-diabetic condition to a diabetic condition, all within just 6 hours. Dr. Nick Delgado shows how easy it is to get diabetes in 6 hours by simply eating a few differing foods. He starts out with extra virgin olive oil, then eats a cheeseburger and pizza. On camera, he takes images of his blood during the wait. Soon, the fats begin to enter his bloodstream. His red blood cells start to stick together with a fatty coating. Small particles of fat stream in his blood vessels.
The second video illustrates 24 hours in the life of a young boy with diabetes. He must take many blood sugar tests throughout the day and night to monitor his blood sugar levels. His parents must awaken twice during the night to administer tests while he remains asleep.
Later in the video, you will see that he eats a generous portion of pancakes with sugar free syrup for breakfast and several slices of fatty pizza for dinner. Could a change in his diet help his serious diabetic condition?
What would happen if Sean was switched to a low fat diet of fresh, raw whole fruits, vegetables, sprouted legumes and whole grains with some sprouted seeds and nuts?
Dr. Gabriel Cousens and other physicians have successfully treated both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes with dietary changes which include the raw and natural foods listed above. Diet may be a major culprit causing skyrocketing occurrences of diabetes in young children.
Jamie Oliver, television star and world class chef, did a comprehensive television series showcasing the high fat, high sugar diet of today’s youth, both in the United States and Great Britain. He believes that such a diet has a major part in promoting diseases such as diabetes in young people. He is working hard to enforce healthier nutritional guidelines for school lunch programs.
MORE ABOUT DR. GABRIEL COUSENS and TYPE 1 AND TYPE 2 DIABETES
In the movie, RAs featured in the movie Simply Raw–Reversing Diabetes in 30 days (see below for more information regarding this movie), a revolutionary program claims to help both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes wean themselves off insulin and bring their fasting blood sugars to less than 100. This program involved an intensive 3 week on-site treatment program followed up with bi-weekly phone follow-ups with a nurse and Gabriel Cousens, M.D. for one year.
In a follow-up program involving 110 test subjects, results were extremely promising:
* 31% of Type One Diabetics were off insulin after 3 weeks with about 10% having blood sugars consistently under 100.
* 28% of IDDM Type Two Diabetics reversed their diabetes after 3 weeks with no insulin and a fasting blood sugar (FBS) of less than 100.
* 60% of the NIDDM Type Two Diabetics were off all oral medications after 3 weeks with FBS less than than 100.
* 100 percent of pre-diabetics healed.
QUOTE from Dr. Cousens’ website: “Inherent in the program’s design, is the understanding that true healing is a multi-faceted process that must address medical concerns in a context that fosters one’s spiritual evolution. This includes the implementation of dietary, nutritional, and lifestyle changes in addition to exercise, meditation, and psycho-spiritual awareness training.”
